Patient Forms

We require the usual paperwork which provides us with your health history and information on your condition. We've chosen to remain old school, utilizing pen and paper rather than electronic intake forms. We can email you the forms and you can print them and fill out by hand to bring with on your first visit if you'd like to save some time.

Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with the Doctor of your choice, to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the Doc to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.

Examination

After your consultation, your Doctor will perform a chiropractic examination checking your spine for needed areas of treatment, this is primarily done with leg checks and palpation. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests may be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

X-Ray Studies

For most patients we do not require x-rays, but if there's been a recent accident or other trauma, rest assured our doctors will not proceed without taking the necessary precautions to ensure it's safe to adjust you.  If we determine X-rays are necessary before treatment, we will recommend a walk in X-ray facility that often can bill your insurance or offers a discounted out of pocket rate.  If you have recent X-rays and radiologist reports we are happy to utilize those and won't require any additional X-rays if the existing studies provide the necessary information.  Some chiropractic offices base their approach and evidence of results heavily on pre and post x-rays, but we've found that it's not necessary to subject the body to repeated imaging, which is safer and keeps costs down.  We are most concerned with improving the overall neurological function of the spine, nervous system and thus the entire body, rather than trying to force the ideal anatomical structure that others feel the need to achieve.

Treatment and Recommendations

We evaluate future care needs on a visit to visit basis. We are happy to answer your questions and give you a general idea of the course of care we recommend. Your progress depends on many factors, but if you follow our advice you will respond faster than if you just show up for your visits. Our goal is to get each patient to their ideal wellness or maintenance schedule as soon as possible. If desired, you will get your first adjustment on your first visit, but if you'd rather sleep on it, you can tell us when to start.

Wellness Care

The ultimate goal is you living your best life! Most folks do well with 1-2 visits per month, some require a little more often. The idea being to not wait until you have pain or symptoms, but rather prevent things getting to that point with regular check ups. It's common practice to get our teeth checked a couple times a year, and we can get fake teeth if we need to. At this point there's no fake spine options, so keeping yours healthy is certainly the best choice!
